The Efrosini Kleftis Assyrtico 2021 is a unique white wine from the Efrosini Winery in Kerasia, Heraklion, Crete. It falls under the Protected Geographical Indication “Crete” and is a blend of 60% Assyrtiko and 40% Malvasia Aromatica grapes. This blend creates a pleasant wine with a nice structure and balanced acidity, attributed to the Cretan Assyrtiko. It also features characteristic aromas of white flowers and impressive fruit, thanks to the Malvasia Aromatica. This wine balances the freshness and mineral character of Assyrtiko with the floral identity of Malvasia, resulting in a harmonious, delicious, delightful, and 'enchanting' wine. It pairs well with dishes such as traditional zucchini fritters with herbs and cheese, homemade ravioli stuffed with chicken and creamy sauce with estragon, and fillet of seabream on a bed of sauteed spinach with herbs.
