The Lazaridis Amethystos Red is a well-regarded dry red wine, combining indigenous Greek and Bordeaux grape varieties. The 2020 vintage features a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Agiorgitiko. This wine presents a rich, almost purple color and is known for its black cherry aromas. The aging process involves 12 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new, contributing to its oaky notes with hints of vanilla, oak, and chocolate. This results in a wine with a dense ruby color and an aromatic bouquet that includes sweet spices, jam chestnuts, prunes, raisins, dried fruit, and roasted coffee beans.
