$29.25

The Richard Bocking Devon Riesling, an entry-level Riesling, is a Cuvée made from early harvests across five steep-slope vineyards. This wine is celebrated for its consistency, well-balanced nature, and pleasant mineral qualities. It is described as fresh and delicate, with a sparkling balanced acidity and distinct mineral quality, making it a popular choice. The grapes for this wine come from sustainably farmed vineyards located on steep slopes above the Mosel River. The blend includes fruit from four of the five vineyards: Burgberg, Ungsberg, Schlossberg, and Taubenhaus, contributing to its diverse and rich flavor profile. In terms of vinification, the grapes were harvested from the 14th to the 21st of October 2014. They were picked early in the season for lower sugar content and then hand-sorted to ensure only the best grapes were used. The wine was fermented at cold temperatures in stainless steel tanks and bottled on April 21, 2015. With a production of 425 cases available for the US market, it has a residual sugar level of 10.7 g/l and a total acidity of 8.4 g/l, contributing to its distinctive dry, crisp, and clean taste with animating acidity, fine minerality, and hints of mellow fruit tones and floral notes.
