The vineyard, founded in the early 19th century, is situated in Saint Romain sur Cher and covers 28 hectares. The vineyards lie on the banks of the Cher river, with a terroir primarily consisting of sand with flint, though clay and limestone are found further north. This particular wine is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, undergoing a winemaking process that includes a 6-hour cold soak, native yeast fermentation in stainless steel, and aging for 8 months on the lees in tanks. The Desloges family, including the 6th generation winemaker Valentin, focuses on reflecting the unique terroir of Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux in their wines.
