Gavala Voydomato dry rose 2021

The Gavala Voydomato Dry Rosé 2021 is a Protected Geographical Indication Cyclades wine, made exclusively from the Voudomato grape, a rare red variety covering only 1% of Santorini's total vineyard area, with vineyards located at Megalochori aged over 30 years. This wine undergoes pre-fermentation skin contact followed by classic white vinification in stainless steel vats under controlled temperature. It exhibits medium intensity with purple highlights, and a mineral nose with subtle red fruit aromas like cherry and strawberry. The taste reveals a dry mouthfeel with pronounced acidity, low levels of tannins, and a good balance of fruit and minerals. Characterized by fruity aromas of cherries and pomegranate, followed by hints of butterscotch, it offers a refreshing palate with smooth tannins and pleasant acidity, and pairs well with seafood with tomato sauce, salads, pasta, and white meat
